Herb Adams describes his method of a DIY alignment in here: Corvette HAndling, A Performance Handbook . Sorry about the size of the file, I'm working on making a smaller file size version.

167 MB???? I'm on a T1 and still need 30 minutes to DL that bad boy! I think I'll wait 'til I get home. My IT manager probably woudn't like me hoarding that much bandwidth for personal use

I've been aligning my C4 Corvettes for years, including my race cars. The patience came in building the tooling to do it right. I'll look and see if I can find any pictures of the tooling I built. FWIW.

P.S. started doing my own alignments after my car was the last car of the day aligned on a laser alignment fixture. The following morning I returned and was the first car on the same alignment machine. I asked for my alignment setting. The print out was way off from the prior evening. Watch the alignment techs closely. They can fiddle with the equipment to give you almost any reading you want.
