muffler tapping
Weird one. I'm hearing this tapping noise the other day. Souding like maybe a valve. Listened through the valve covers, oil pan, nothing. Go to the rear right muffler and it sounds like somethings rattling. Couldn't find anything loose. But this tap is coming out the exhaust, figure it must be something up the pipe to the engine.
Checked it all again, nothing. Went back to the muffler and grabbed the tip and moved the muffler around. I got the noise to stop when I held and pulled down. Looked all over and nothing is loose. Is there anything inside the muffler that could have come loose or broke off? It sounds just like the left one. If I wack it nothing rattles in there. Any ideas?
