Put a 2x4 on top of a floor jack (about 10 to 12 inches long).
Jack lightly on the drivers side of the oil pan and then pull the bolts and then replace the mount.
There are 3 bolts holding the mount to the block (9/16" socket) and one bolt going through the bottom of the mount and the frame ear. On mine one end is 5/8" and the other is 11/16".
You will have to loosen up or remove the power steering bracket while you are doing this.
The mount sandwiches in between the PS bracket and the block.

I broke my driver side and replaced it with a poly one, the driver side sees almost all the torq which causes it to break.

Something I have done on some hot street cars was to run a solid mount on the drivers side and a rubber one on the pass side. This still lets the motor "flex" a little while the solid mount holds everything together. Just make sure that the mounts are the same "height" so the motor sits level.

Open the hood
Start the engine
If it's an automatic...
Step on the brake and put it in drive
Hold the brake and give it some throttle
If the mount is broken you will be watching the drivers side of the engine lift as you are applying throttle.

Lift the hood. Start the engine. Set your idle up a little. Ease the clutch out with the brake on and you will see the engine pick up. Makes a God awlfull sqeal if she lifts too much. I didnt have any problem replacing mine and i am a Bubba! Good Luck..

That's pretty neat about the soid mount! I usually have chronic motor mount problems (replace every couple of years). I finally replaced the auto trans mount at the same time and that helped. I also have to raise my car slowly (in increments of inches) while I loosen the three motor mount bolts or install them.

Spend the money and buy the Energy Suspension part. Well worth the money.

The made in overseas crap has poor quality and does not fit. Ask me how I know this....
