Leaking Rear Differential
Hey Guys,
long time member, don't post much but do lurk the boards
I have a 73 vert, L48, 4 speed.
Took the car out for a spin this weekend. When I moved the car I noticed a puddle of fluid located right where the rear differential would be sitting.
Any ideas on problems/repairs?

More than likely it's the pinion seal or related pinion yolk grooves or the fill plug.
As far as replacing the seal, if your mechanically inclined it's not hard to do. Search the boards, there is lot's of info on how to replace.
I lived with the puddle for about 5 years before I had enough and replaced the seal.

Thanks for your responses guys
I quickly attempted to look at the rear differential but need to get the car up on jacks. I didn't have time to do that at the moment.
I also searched the Corvette Forum for differential as well as leaking differential before I posted but came up with nothing that matched or came close to that descrription in the search results that I got.
