Default Fitting Side pipes

Query from a Brother Aussie to anyone who has fitted Patriot side pipes - need help with fitting to a 79 with stock manifolds and any diagrams, photos, ideas or advice would be appreciated.

I used the pipes that were already on the manifolds, I cut them just past the angle bend in the pipe and attached a 90 degree elbow to the chrome 90. I had my pipes for a month or so them took the off and installed true duals. I'm peeved that the chrome heat sheild started to rust the first time they got wet and I just sold them at a swap meet and noticed the chrome was peeling at the tip end. Hope you have better luck.

I have a friend with the Patroit sidepipes. His look good and were easy to install. They just bolt to the bottom of the frame with supplied bolts and brackets and a muffler shop can fab a piece of pipe to connect to the existing exhaust pipe from the manifold. He likes his and has had no problems with them. They are low though. Hope this helps!
