Hi folks! I sold a completed project this spring, and happened onto a good deal on my '76. I've been a hard core gear head for many years, past cars being a '56 nomad, '57 Chevy, '63 Impala SS (409), Very hot '67 Camero, '68 Mustang Fastback, etc.....a few others. This is my first Corvette, and I have to admit needs a lot of work, but I've had a BLAST so far!
Onto business... I'm in the process of a total paint strip in preperation for a Victory red clear coat. I've sanded the rear up to the doors, and am removing the door hardware and interior now. I pulled the carpet and padding up and OH BABY, I can see a lot of concrete through those floorboards! (thought it smelled kinda musty in there!)
HELP! I cant find a source of re-popped floor pans! Ecklers, Corvette America, Paddock (right here in good 'ole Indiana!), E-bay...nothing! Does anyone have a source for these pans, or do I have to fab a couple up? I'd far rather have stamped steel so I can mig them in, but I'd be happy to glue, seal and rivet a set in. Thanks for any help you folks can give!......John
Guys, I sure do appreicate your replys! It just goes to show even the best internet search engines sometimes miss suppliers! I'm ordering a set Monday. I don't know if I'll get paint applied this fall, but this will let me get on with the process. Thanks! John
