hi every one i have a few qestions im restoring a 1969 corvette that was my fathers car that he bought new in 1969 the frame had rotted out on it (he drove it in the winter) so i purchesed a used frame from down south that was in excelent shape but the tranny mount on the middle crossmeber is diffrent the wholes are the same but it does not have the little ears the frame has ruber mounts on it and i was told they didnt start using rubber body mounts till 72 but was the fram from and auto or a stanard? was there a diffrence in the auto and standard frame? and if it was standard can i use 72 4sp tranny mounts next question any one try the offset trailing arms i wonderinf if you have them how you like them and if ill have any problems or need any modifications when installing

Rubber mounts on 73 and up, but you can use the rubber body mounts. I replaced the aluminum mounts with rubber on my 68.

Auto frame crossmember is removable, 4 speed, the crossmember is welded. 4 Speed car, you can use either one, in fact, changing the clutch with a removable crossmember makes the job a whole bunch easier.

Offset trailing are are used for rims wider than 8". If you are not going to run rims wider rims, offset TA are not necessary.

You do not have to modify the crossmember, just buy a mounting bracket for a standard trans. You will find a picture and schematic of the bracket and other parts in most part suppliers online catalog. The advantage of the removable auto trans crossmember is convenience removing parts. You don't want to lose that.
