I have already accepted the fact that they are not going to clear the brake booster, but what about the evaporator box on the other side? Previous posts on this topic say it comes close, but there is no mention of what kind of parts were used. Many pictures of the big block cars show the box removed and plates filling in the firewall.
I have a '76 with factory A/C. The engine is a 427 with Brodix heads and tall valve covers. Do you guys think I could modify the box enough to make it fit, or should I start planning on removing the thing?
If they are the chrome type, a little tapping with the hammer will take care of the problem. Anyway, nobody will be able to see what you did once they are installed. When in doubt, call Bubba.

I wonder if it could be the heads or the motor mounts that cause it? I don't know what type of mounts I have but I do know I have the stock GM oval ports.
