Hey! your console is the same as mine, with the shifter coming out the the right side. I also have the steering wheel over there as well. Wasn't it fun converting it?
I used the original shifter and very few notice the difference even with the 5 speed plate.

Most people don't notice only true vette people.
At the time nobody was making stock install parts I fabbed up my own
shifter and console plate, the shifter is very comfortable on that side.
The data plate I had made at a trophy shop it's the plate material that is used I had them make a couple of them for down the road wear and tear.
Now I can't get my web site to accept new pictures seems that it say use jpg or gif files when I look at the pictures they say they are jpeg files I don't understand why they won't load.
I'm doing the same thing I've done before with the same camera.
Where are you in Lantana? C'mon down to Ft. Laud this weekend so I can see that car up-close. I originally wanted a silver/silver '74, but settled on something "less".
I didn't build to sell this car,I know you never get back all your money with this hobby but at those prices that would be a serious insult.
I have over 35k in this car with all my own labor so, you get the picture.
I wouldn't take any less than 28k for the car.
If someone gave you the car and then put the parts, paint, wheels, interior etc,you couldn't build for any less than 25k and that's your own labor, except paint.
It all adds up quick,I have about 10k know in the drive train that's in it.
383,tremec 5 speed, suspension,streeroids.
I've stopped counting a long time ago.
Now I'm putting another 10k into this new motor, and what not to make right,so the dollars keep rising.
I really like the car so I'm in no hurry to sell unless the right amount of cash comes my way.
At least convertibles are worth something! My '77 isn't worth dirt on the market. With the 40k I've put on it and cosmetic work it needs I dont' know if it's worth the $5300 I paid for it! I calculated the other day that I've put nearly $4000 of gas into it in the last 3 years
