Kinda two questions in one..first off cars been sitting for about a month and the battery died..no surprise there..i jumped it, drove it home, and let it sit about 10-15 minutes, but the battery didn't even charge enough to crank it back up...is the alternator too weak for this? Secondly the alternator belt is squeaking..but only when i get up to about 2500 rpms...do i need to tighten the belt, loosen the belt...something else i'm overlooking..thanks

Take the car to autozone. They will check the battery to see if it has an internal short and replace it if it does. If the battery is good then the alternator could be bad. If the belt is squeeking tighten it and see if the battery is charging. I put a disconnect on mine to keep the battery from discharging when sitting for extended periods.
