Default any tips??

I am pulling the trans to replace the torque convertor, I have had the engine out a few times and the trans once, but the engine was removed at the time. are there any tips or tricks, looks like the driveshaft might be fun. it is a 1981 with a th350c trans.

When I pulled the transmission out of my '70 years ago I made a support for the back of the engine that looked like this.

Code:
I I
I oil I
I sump I
I I
I-------I <---A
I I
I I
I-------I <---B
Material was 2x4's. The oil pan sump fit down between the up rights. Cross beam "A" was just a little bit shorter than cross beam "B". Oil pan mounting bolts (NOT THE OIL PAN ITSELF) rested on the top of the 2x4's. I used nails at "B" and screws at "A". When I had everything set in place I tightened the screws at "A" to clamp the support in place. Of course you need to remove the starter and oil filter before you put this in place.
