Original 69 side pipe Installation Q's?

Hey guys! Im up......slept through my alarm 
but Ive still got about an hour to have a go at installing the covers! 
Actually, I didn't buy them new.......wish I did after wasting all the money I did ....(long embarrassing expensive story....) :o
but I did finally get a set with insulators.....
I better get to it! Will keep you posted..........lucky you don't need your hearing to post on the forum

Just an update on my progress....
G'day to you all 
Just an update on my progress.........didn't end up being able to mount the covers before my busy social day yesterday
but couldn't resist taking my vette out all day
With the side pipes on....just had to be careful not to burn myself..but you guys with Hookers have to deal with that everyday!
Side pipes sounded great!!!!!!! Yippeee! We both (my bf and I shared the driving) couldn't help but to revvvvvvvv it out more because of the sound of the pipes...and we even think we have improved performance over our last exhaust (when we took our old exhaust off one of pipes was squashed down...
)
Did about 5 hours of driving.....and by the time we got home our ears were ringing ....and this effected our balance!
We will be installing the covers this week.....we are going to take the pipes off and mount the covers here.
