Default Engine Vibration

[FONT=Arial Narrow]
I recently purchased two C3 Vetts, one 1980 wigh a poor body but a engine with 56 K on it and a very stright 79 with a blown stroker engine. I removed the blown 79 and install the good 80 engine which was an automatic. Used the flywheel and harmonic balancer from the 79 because it is a stick. I notice a vibration starting at 1200 and gets worst as the rpms increase, could the stroker flywheel and balancer be my problem ? I did a compression check and all cylinders arre in the 178 - 182 range, all plugs are super clean and seem to be firing well. I really am confused. Any feedback will be much appreceiated. Also have a 80 car to part out and will be very rreasonable price wise. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/newt...newthread&f=3#

Default Flywheel and balancer are your problems

They are most likely 400SB parts, and are externally balanced. You need a (neutral or zero balanced) 350 flywheel and balancer.

Can't use 400 flywheels and harmonic balancer
