Heater Hose Control Module
I don't know if that's what it's called, but there is a little black saucer inline with my heater hose. (There's a single vacuum line going to it)
It was leaking so I took it off... is that ok?

sure in the winter time.....that is a vacuum actuated control that stops water flow to the heater core when the AC is on.....in the summer time you will not want that water from the engine heating up the heater core. in fact many o f us me included have put in "auxilary water control valves" to stop the water flow.
