I've spent most of my time over in C5, but I'm about to get started on my '81 interior restoration. The body's in great shape except for the fact that the hood seems to stick up about a 1/4" in the front.
Is there a way to "bring it down"? Or do I have to shim and raise the front end to meet it? The rear of the hood looks fine....
My 74 has the same problem. Waiting to see what answer you get. The guys here helped me fix the low spots on the hood where it blends into the fenders about half way back the length of the hood. (I didn't have the rubber bumpers) Now if I can pull the left front corner down I'll be set.
Look to see if there are shims under hinges..sometimes shims are used to bring hood "up" flush with fenders at hinges/and or strikers/bumpers..you may get lucky, and only have to take some shims out...if i understand your problem...

I'll have to take a good look for that and let you know.
