Header recomendations for 74 vette please.
Hello!
its been a long time since i have had need for headers for small block vette. I am looking for headers wich are big enough for mild 383 engine. Not hanging too low ( car is lowered 2-3 ") and ceramic coated.
Because of ceramic coat they must fit with out hammering
Any ideas or experiences?

I ended up using Dynomax Ceramacoat headers on my 74. They tuck in pretty good and I haven't had any clearance problems. As far as fit goes the only problem I had was with the clutch cross shaft that goes from the frame to the engine block. This had to be removed to install the headers and then put back on eith the headers in place because it goes between two tubes. The tube that goes over the top of it touched slightly and had to be dimpled about 1/8 inch for clearance. This did not damage the coating. Other than this I like the headers.

Vettfxr - did you install the headers yourself? Did you have to buy anything else (ie. brackets) to make it work?
Does anyone know the best place the buy Dynomax headers. Summitt's got 'em for around $270.
