I'm in the process of converting my '69 undercar exhaust to side exhaust. I' looking at buying the std. side exhaust rear filler panel and filling in the rest on the openings in the rear quarter panels. Those of you that have done this before, does anyone make any half round pieces to bond to the quarter panels? Any opinions on an easier way. I don't like the looks of the aftermarket rear filler panels with the wings on them. I would rather fill in the entire opening and not have any seam at all or go with the standard side exhaust rear panel and fill in what's left.

i went with the factory look..because if you fill in those seams to make it smooth, you can't pull the body without tearing it back out. But if you don't plan on pulling the body off..go for it..the smooth look does look good.
I filled in the missing ears by cutting them off the ecklers panel and using 3m panel bond to bond them to the body. I then cut out pieces of fiberglass to fill edges. I took my time and spent about half a day on it..fitting and cutting.
I did exactly the same thing.....prefer to have the line down the panel.....not really a big job and with it being down low, pretty easy to blow in the paint.
