which clutch???
Greetings everyone.
I have nearly all of the parts needed to finish the 383 and I am preparing for the swap over the turkey day weekend. I do however, need to purchase a new clutch. I have the original 4 speed in the 76 L-48, but the questions asked to me are 10.4" or 11" clutch.... and 26 spline or 10 spline? Is there anyway to find out which clutch I have/need without having to pull the tranny?

A 76 will likely have a fine (26 spline) disc. It's most likely a 153 tooth 10.5" flywheel too but to check just look at the bolts holding the starter on. If they are both parralel with the flywheel then it's a 10.5" 153 tooth. If the bolts are stagard then it's a 11" 168 tooth flywheel.
