High-Torque Mini-Starter V. Heat
Summit NAL-12361146 or GM 1231146 High-Torque Mini-Starter
For those using this starter with out a heat shielding having any problems. Or anybody else in the know for that matter.
I'm about to order one and i'm not sure if I need heat shielding or not. If I do need the shielding, what is recommended? Is the Starter heat blanket #33895 at Ecklers any good or are the Heat shields #26229 better?
Also I'm about to get some Doug Thorely ceramic coated headers installed will this make a differance for hot starter issues (better or worse) and should I install the starter before the headers or after? The starter I'll do myself the headers and exhaust system I'm having a shop do.
