Default Calling Norval. Hydro boost question.

Norval,

i found a do it yourself junk yard that has several mid 80's conversion vans and 1 ton trucks. Do you have any pics you can send or post of what peices I will need for the hydroboost brake setup?

Thanks
Wade

Pick a unit that looks dry and fairly clean. Pull everything you can that goes with it. Take what lines they let you take. The main line from the pump to the hydroboost might be reusable.
Take the pin from under the dash as well,
The hydroboost is a unit with a plate that bolts to the firewall with 4 studs passing through the firewall. You need everything including the nuts.
Take the master cylinder only for reference, you will not use it.
The hydroboost itself is all you need but the other parts help know what you want.
For lines coleman makes it very easy to buy adapters, the unit itself with very little modification bolts right up.
I pay $50CDN around here and in the states $100 is the going price.
The units from the bigger trucks, like the 1 ton are the same on the outside just a little more powerful internally.
I used a 82 1/2 ton and a 94 one ton. Both look identical.
Any dry clean unit will work.
We can talk about the modifications later when you get the unit.
