Anyone running GM Fastburn heads? I'm curious if anyone's running fuel injection....just curious what the best flowing setup is. I've heard TPIS has a mini-ram setup just for the the Fastburns...but "just" the intake is $900.....and I've yet to see one on E-Bay. I've looked at the Lingenfelter stuff too.....ideas?
I'm running the Accel/Lingenfelter DFI Gen 6 setup. The vendor I purchased from recommended this over the Holley setup. They had dyno'ed an FI system from Holley on a ZZ430 and found the injector protruded too much into the port reducing flow. They ended up porting the manifold to get the HP back up. This was 3 or 4 years ago though and I think the choices are much better now.
You do need to machine the bosses on the Accel intake for the Vortec-style bolts.
Mine is on a stock 385 Fastburn and runs really well. I was a little worried about running a single-plane on mostly a street car but the low-end torque is good and the top-end is great!
