I asked this question about my 73 oil pan replacement. The answer I got was that it can be done, but part of the steering linkage needs to be removed in order to drop the pan. My car is a big block, so I dont know if yours would be any different.

I just asked the same question last week about my 72BB. Yes, you need to remoce the linkage, and can probably remove it from the idler arm side and swing it awat, no firther jacking is required becuase there no crossmember under it like othe GM frames.
i had the feeling that i didnt have to raise up the engine, it looked like i would have enough clearance when i was changing the timing chain and cover last weekend. now it looks like oil pan gasket is leaking.
Doesn't get any easier than on a Vette. If you have a crossover pipe that's gotta go. Drop the steering at the idler arm, disconnect power steering cylinder at the frame mount.
Headers, easier yet.
Starter and flywheel cover removal helps.
