Default Oil Pressure

Need some help. I have a 1978 with low miles. I wanted to flush the radiator and when I started the car I showed no oil pressure. I feel its the oil pressure sender but how do I make sure its not the oil pump or the gauge? The wire to the sender looks like I have a good connection. What next? Thanks T

Take the wire off the sender and put it to a ground. This should make the gauge go all the way to the right. Max oil pressure. If this works it is in the sending unit. If not you will have to start at the wire and trace to the gauge.
