HEI Distr. with tach drive
Met with my guy who is restoring my 72. He informed me about a new distr. that was out. He said he would have a price and more info tomorrow. He said it was the larger distr. and you would not be able to put the chrome cover over it.

There are HEI tach drive distributors that will fit under the chrome cover. There are three that come to mind but they are not supporting vendors. Search the biggest Vette Vendor and look at the major distributor manufactorers. One I don't like as it needs an external ignition box. The other two are self contained but price is $350-$550 dollars.

There's a seller on ebay ( gr8hotrods ) with tachdrive hei who's been accepting offers of $175. Same distributor I was selling until my supply dried up ... nice piece ... same as what ecklers had been selling for about $400. It will not fit under 74 on back ... will fit under a 75 chrome cover ... if you really want a cover simply swap to a 75 cover.

Well I bought the HEI Distributor($289) with the mechanical tach feature. It's going into my new 383 srtoker. I'll let you know how it works. Also got a 670 Holly Street Avenger Carb.
