Default Stubborn Idler Arm Removal
I have it unbolted from the frame and have whacked at it several times with a pickle fork - it just won't break loose. ...yes cotter pin and castle are out too. What is the trick to this job?

Tie Rod Puller. Works much better than a picle fork.

Tie rod puller (separator). Rent from Autozone or I think I paid about $15 to buy one.

A little heat would help too, but only if your not going to re-use it. Tends to melt boots, plastic, etc.
