If you go to your GM Service Manual for your year, there is a photo (at least there is one for 72) on how to do this.

Essentially,
remove battery cable because you are dealing with the horn contacts
pull straight up on the horn button to remove it
remove the large nut holding the steering wheel on
using a steering wheel puller (available cheaply or even borrowed from Auto Zone and Advance Auto) pull the steering wheel.

As a side note, make sure that the wheels are straight and the steering wheel is centered before you do this. If you don't have a GM Service Manual, you can purchase one from many places including www.ncrs.org. Click on the store logo.

That was a pretty rude reply. The reason it was asked was that this is the C3 section which covers Vette's built from 1968-1982. The question was asked in case there was a question with your typing skills. Evidently the problem is not physical.

If it's a 93, I would presume it has at least a driver's side airbag? If so, get a service manual specifically for that year car and follow the instructions VERY carefully. An accidental airbag deployment is a real bummer at best.

Default If I recall...

On the C4, when you go to fix the high-beam switch, sh...stuff...falls out(a spring and some other pieces I don't remember). I was going to fix it on my C4, but after all I read...I decided it was fine just the way it was . As I recall, part of the falling pieces were from the high bean, the other were from the turn siganls. Have fun!
