I am looking at getting a set of 2000 camaro SS wheels on my 76. Do any of you guys know if I can bolt them on easily. What wheel spacer/adapters would I need. And do you have a pic of a c3 with wheels like the SS wheels on it (something that has the same outside off set. Can I see what your looks like so I can get an idea of what mine will look like.
Finally, do oyu think I should keep it stock and just get new tires, if so I was thinking about 245-60-15. Any input would be great thanks.
IMHO...go for the bigger wheels and tires..........there is little, to no, development in 15" tires anymore (speed rating etc etc)....and changing to + wheel and tire sizing is probably the best single mod you can do as far as looks and handling goes.
As far as i know to fit those wheels on you will need between a 2 and a half inch and a 3 inch adapter. Thats what i need to fit my C5 wheels on my 81 (i have a 3 inch) and i am pretty sure my wheels will fit on a newer camaro with no spacers. Hope that helped.
You'll need adapters to clear the calippers - the wheels would look out of place on a C3, but that's only my opinion...
The SS wheels are 17"x9" - a 15" tire won't fit....
If you want 17" and don't want to spend too much money - they make 17" repro rally rims, there's a seller on ebay who has a store here in orlando. they sell 15,16 and 17" rallies... tires ? 245-45 and 255-50
