Default 71 LS6 Questions

I got some hits on an earlier thread that I posted regarding a rats-nest reassembly on an original 71 LS6. My question this time is regarding vacuum hose routing for the brake booster/head lights/cowel/etc.. What does the factory vacuum tree look like? The carb that I have has a rear source for the booster? Also, the car is sans an air pump. Is that correct? Any information and or photos would be greatly appreciated. If anyone out there owns one of these cars in fairly stock condition your help could be priceless to me. Thanks in advance for any help.

The '71 Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) ought to show you everything you want to know, including the OEM routing, original part numbers, etc.

The AIM for 1971 does contain LS6 specific configurations.
Things such as fan belt configurations, power steering configurations, etc. are included. The headlight & cowel hose routing isn't LS6 specific. Don't know where your power brakes would connect (someone with that option would need to chime in) but you should have an emission control air pump system.
You should also have an additional/supplemental wiring harness for the ignition system that runs down the drivers inside fender. It should have connections: under the dash (power), to the distributor, to the amplifier, and ground to the radiator support.

I've got a couple of manuals that I am looking through that seem to be pretty complete (part numbers etc.) but the pictures leave somthing to be desired. They are mostly cutaways and such. A real life overview of the engine compartment would be a fantastic early christmas present.

I can't imagine an LS6 being all that different from an LS5 for hose & wire routing ... so what kind a pic do you need ???

Basicly just of the vacuum routing and such. This is the first big block c3 that I have been this deep into and I am not sure of differences between the ls5 and ls6. I just wanted to be sure. When I got this car this is what I had: Long Block, Trans, Bell Housing, Carb, Distributer, Alt, and Pwr Str Pump. That is it. No hoses, belts, fan, radiator, brackets, linkages, shifter, and the wiring is a complete disaster. the body shop dropped it off after painting over everything in the engine bay. My manuals (I think I have 5 of them) don't specify anything other than 454, So I dont want to miss anything big or small.
