Default Pulley Spacer

Is this too much Bubba? With the Aerospace COmponets electric water pump on my 454, the alternator drive belt would not clear the pump arm (rubbing). My choice was to move the alternator out farther (about an 1/2 inch) to get the clearance. The only way I could get the belt to align was to put 1/2 aluminum spacers on the crank pulley. Everything lines up perfectly. I used grade 8 bolts..

Will this work or is there too much load on the crank pulley for spacers? I really would like to get a machined aluminum one piece spacer (round disc). If this will work (can anyone make a part like that..of course I'd pay for your time and materials).

If everything is true and flat & and same size ( for balance ) you should
not have any problems.
I have had to make all of my pulleys match my crank location on my very in-expensive aluminum pulley system,I have about $100.00 in 4 pulleys now.
Working on my power steering pulley now.I bought a standard double rib and will machine the center section to fit a serpntine ? set up.
I can make a spacer for you if you decide you really need one..
