Hello, I will be reworking my brake system, new rotors calipers, hoses, master cylinder and booster and would like to know what pads are best to use for a daily driver, organic, semi metalic or carbon based. Also as far as the rotors I was thinking of the drilled and slotted type. And on the web under brake pads there are a couple of good sites "JUSTNET-Brakepads" and "Brake Pads". thoughts?

Jim, all I use is organic brake pads, I tried semi metallic pads and they were very noisy.
The organic pads work realy good for every day driving and they are easy on the rotors.

My rotors are not disposable. I tried metalic pads and really started to see rotor wear. I run wagner organic pads and they are extremely kind to the rotors.
For street driving they are great, cheap, easy on rotors and for that one panic stop they will match any metalics.
Personally, for a D/D I would not think slotted and drilled rotors are necessary. I bought new factory rotors from a retailer for $20.00 ea. but if you can get slotted and drilled rotors for $25.00 ea., why not spend the extra $20.00 bucks?
I don't think you find slotted and drilled for 25 $ each.
The cheapest I found are from ROTORPROS in E-bay for 185 the set of 4 + 45 shipping, so 230 USD.
Still a fair price if they hold up.
I did order them.
