I just received my truflex front bumper from Willcox in the mail. I have not pulled the old cover off of my 77 but when I looked at the new cover there are no holes in the back for fasteners to thru and attach to anything. I viewed a used cover sometime back on ebay and it had holes in it for attachment. I am just trying to figure if I need to predrill holes or did they forget to drill it from the manufacturer?

I know there has got to be some of you guys that has replaced a front bumper cover out there. Please tell me if my new cover should have pre-drilled holes?
my new one doesn't havethe holes predrilled. it has indentations where the holes should be, approximately. I believe this allows you to fit it better to your ride. Mine came with directions that said as much.
Thanks Mongoose. It came last evening by fed-ex and with the Christmas eve rush I was excited and unpacked it to see what it looked like I need to read the directions after I get off of work today. Thanks for the info.
The one I ordered for my dad's 75 came with indents as stated above. The bumper for my 74 was a flexi fit bumper and had no indentions at all. One I had the old bumper off, I used some masking tape placed veritically over the top holes and horizontally over the side holes that were already in the rear body of the car. I wrapped the tape over a little and drew a center line with a pencil on each one. When I placed the rear bumper up to the car I then knew where the center of each hold was that had to be drilled.
THere are indents where the hole should be. Did you get the t bolt kits? I found that on most cars, not just corvettes, that have the retainers with the studs, some of the studs break removing them. You can drill them out and put in new studs, or get the t bolt kit. Maybe soaking the studs with wd40 or whatever you use will help prevent this. Do it a few weeks before installing and do it seveal times.
