Has anyone converted their C3 vette to meet the spec's of the Improved Touring Class of the SCCA? I've read the SCCA rule book and wanted to see if anyone on this forum has any advise. Has anyone fitted a roll cage that has been approved? Any photos?
Thanks,
Jeff
I've never seen a C3 run ITE (the IT class Corvettes run in) before. I'm not sure they're eligible, or even if ITE is a National class. I think ITE is a regional only class.
Yes, IT is regional only. I've seen C4s in ITE but I'm not sure about C3s.
Same here, C4's but never a C3.
If you want to run ITE, you can easily find many good ITE C4's for sale race ready. And you'll probably spend less buying a race ready ITE C4 than you'd spend trying to make a C3 competitive. Do yourself a favor, if you want to run improved touring, buy a C4. It will hadle much better too.
