Might as well get a pair for the front and go for the full 4X4 look

That tire is going to be a way to tall in my opinion, will it fit, probably

295/65/15 equals a diameter of 30". Stock is right at 27".

You are going to have major fit problems with that tire.

better look at 295-50-15 tires, that's what i'm going to put on the rear with my stock aluminum rims... I think it was Motorhead who posted a photo of this combination not too long ago - it looks .... hmmm.... huge .... wide..... biga$$ tire......

I had 295/50/15's on 10" wide wheels. They stuck out about an inch from the fender. I ditched that and went with 15x8's with 275/60/15s and they look alot better.

NO 275/60/15 is the widest tire that will Safely fit on a 15x8 rim. You will need to go to a 15x10 for that tire. Did you ever see a 275/60 on the rear of a vette that's a lot of rubber. What are you thinking 295/65

The overviews on tirerack.com say the recommended rim size for 295-50-15 is 8-11 or so.... not sure if it was 10 or 11 but 8" is listed as the minimum for this tire.

Wow that's a big tire. The specs on that tire say approx 29.5 inches tall but fully inflated those things are closer to 31". I ran a set on my 79 Camaro Street/Strip car I had major problems making them work there. My guess is no way on a Vette without major mods. That's my 2-cents.
