1979 Vette Tach Problem Please Help

my tach stoped working in my L82 and i was told it would be the tach circut board so i replaced that and it still doesnt work anyone got any ideas on what else it could be. has anyone else had this problem

if you have a tach and dwell remove the tach and hook it up to the contacts behind the tach.. if it works the tach could be bad, one more thing the tach pointer should move when you turn the key on if it doesn't check the fuse..I just replaced mine $60 from Upmors corvette parts in texas 254-315-5269
