Mesh woven glass is stronger(looks like a towel with interwoven strands of glass.) Fiberglass mat is OK too (looks like a random pattern of strands in a sheet form) about equal the the GM OEM glass.

It really matters if you are doing corners. Cloth will hug the corner better. Mesh is difficult to lay around a corner. It feels as if the resin is not sticky enough and the strands keep standing up. The cloth will follow contours better.
