They are easy to mount right out of the junk yard. Yes with adapters normal russel fittings and stainless lines can be used.
Don't know about the master cylinder but I used a stock one.
Hydro boost are $50 CDN here and the lines and adapters will run you about $100CDN
The power steering high pressure side goes to the hydroboost first, out the hydroboost to the steering control valve. Often the donor vehicle will include this line but adapters for normal russel fittings are about $10 AM.

You buy the unit and we can talk you through the installation. Black rat just did this so his memory is fresher then mine.
I did mine before comming to the forum but have helped others in the past year.

Norval and Twin_Turbo helped me tremendously with this. It is not a hard job at all. For me the most time consuming and aggrevating thing was getting the clevis reattached to the brake pedal. At 6'6" 255 I don't fit under the dash very well.
I got my unit off of an 82 1 ton Chevrolet. The bracket had to be rotated and I had to drill a couple of mouting holes. Some units will mount right up with the existing bracket. I don't think that Norval had to modify his this much but I know Twin_Turbo had to do the same thing I did.
The fittings are kinda pricey. I bought 2 Aeroquip fitting 18mm to -6 and 16mm to -6. They ran me about $30 I bought my hydroboost from a junk yard called Pull-a-Part. They charged me $13. I am going to build my own lines. Like Norval said, one goes from the pump to the hydroboost then from the HB to the steering cylinder. You will run 2 return lines and "T" them into the PS pump.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and Listen to Norval and Twin_Turbo they know their stuff.
It is well worth it and you don't have to buy that high dollar kit.
Does anyone have pictures of there set up from the pump to the hyrdaboost and to the power steering? Also do you think 8 An is the right size? I have alot of these fittings.
