Cant tell if those are the correct application for your unit...but...
Yes---right to the stock exhaust system...you will have to cut-to-fit to the existing exhaust some...how much?... hard to say without measuring.

Take a few measuements.
Outside header flange boltholes to bottom of collectors bolted in place...then inside bolt holes to same...make a rudementary sketch on paper (you should end up with a wide "V" and a skinny "V"...

then do the same to your stock exhaust manifolds.

compare sketches.

That will give you and idea of how much of your pre-existing exhaust pipe you will need to shorten.
You are going to have to cut your pre-existing pipe anyway to remove the "flare" that seals the existing pipes at the stock manifolds.

Once measurements are compared you will know how much *extra* that Hedman collector has...and go from there.

you cannot just remove your stock manifold and bolt right into place...two cuts will be necessary no matter what.

Whats with the silver mini-headers?

Jim

ps.
if the measurents I am describing is confusing...when I get back I will draw a sketch and scan if for you, to get an idea before you start unbolting things...if its the correct application for your car, the sketch will give you a very good idea...those collectors appear to have 2 to 3inches of room for slight cutting errors..but even if cut too short, a flanged add-on is easily done.

Default shorty's

Chances are you will have to redo the pipe that connects to the shorty's after the collector. I thought I could get away with it on mine but ended up at the muffler shop. No big deal, most competent muffler shops will bend you a new one.

Jim,
Don't go to the trouble of a sketch...this is just a fact finding mission for now...nothing will happen until spring....maybe I can tap ya for a sketch then if I decide it's a go....OK?
I think I am trying to figure if it's going to do me any good putting them on or would it be just cosmetic????

These are used on eBay...sez they fit 60's and 70's SBC engines...I'd like to get a little more confident reference then that before buying...
Again, are the shortys a performance help or just cosmetic?

Default shorty's on mine

The jury is out on mine. I installed chambered exhaust behind them, and either the shorty's are restrictive or the chambered exhaust is, or both of them are. There are several people on here that will tell you that unless you spin the motor up past 5800 rpm the cast "ram's horn" factory piece works just as well. At this point I tend to agree. That's just seat of the pants driving on mine. Too bad nobody has run dyno tests on just exhaust systems to sort them out. The car magazines would not hesitate to do a test on a camshaft or a new intake or cylinder head, but not many mention anything about it other than to say you need headers. It would be nice to compare "rams horn's" with shorty's with full length. and chambered with turbo mufflers.

Yeah, that's why this is a fact finding mission...the cat will be replaced with a test pipe, and straight threw muffs, anyways this springs...not looking for a neck-snapping change...a little better would be nice....but definately don't want to go backwards...if I'm talking a 1 or 2% HP increase (or decrease ), the trouble of the swap doesn't seem worth it, but the look of black headers, even shortys might be worth it...that's why I'm asking questions...rather torn
Thanks..
