Default Brake pedal assembly removal

I pulled my dash as most of you know, and Still have problems
with getting to bolts and all the stupid wiring thats driving me
crazy. I see 4 nuts that look to be holding the bracket. They
hold the brake booster in place also. Are there more that I can't see?
I removed all 4, and it's still tight in there

I already bought my clutch and brake pedal assembly, but left
it at the office. So i'm not sure on all the mounting points

There is a nut the holds the wire harness in place at the bottom left corner, once you pull that off there is one more nut holding the booster. Other than that it should pull off. Don't forget the bolts in the windshield wiper tray that holds the upper brackets in.

That's it, you'll just have to pry it off carefully.

Correct. The 4 in the wiper tray are on the vertical piece directly above the bracket...

There were two more behind the speedo and tach guages that have to be removed too.

EVALUA8R, I crashed to, nothing got done.

SO, 4 for the booster, 4 in the cowl, and 2 more bolts for a tottal
of 10 ?

I'm here at work now, so I took some pic's, I only count 8 bolts
and all are in the inside.

Looks like 4 in the rear(BOOSTER) and 4 in front.

There are 10 bolts holding the assembly on. 4 are located in the windshield wiper trough, 4 for the brakes and 2 on the bracket above the steering wheel. 10 in total

You realize that the brake booster must be pulled out of the car right? That's what the four studs are attached to.

Yea, I knew that already. I have to pull the colum to make things easier
anyway. I would shoot myself to try and install DYNAMAT with the colum still there

When I did mine I did not have to pull the booster out of the car, I dont remember how it came out. I just asume that once the 4 bolts were loosened from the wiper compartment i was able to just slide it down and off of the studs. Maybe the booster studs moved enough for me to get it out. But I know I did not remove it from the car.

James, you are right, you do not have to pull it completely out.
the bracket will slide off the studs.

I took my booster all the way off so I could clean and repaint.

I found that removing all three brackets under the dash really gave me more room to work. But if you can get the pedals swapped by removing only the bracket that holds the steering column up and the pedal bracket, then I see no reason to do more. I also removed the power brake booster as it just about falls out anyway, and it made it easier for me to replace the rag joint while I was working in that area too. Good luck with your swap. I hope it goes as smooth as mine has but a lot faster!
