Trouble Getting Out Headlight Actuators
I placed a post awhile back about changing the headlight actuators. Most people said that they were able to do it without removing the hood. I've tried every maneuver that I can think of and I still can't move the actuator back far enough for the adjusting rod to clear it's opening. There is less than 1/2 inch between the actuator and the hood. Is there some little trick I'm overlooking? If it comes to it, I can just as well remove the hood. Thanks for any suggestions.

I removed the grill on the front in order to get to the bolts of the actuator. With the hood closed, I removed the bolts and vacuum lines, then positioned the actuator into the center of the hood.
I carefully opened the hood and the actuator came out (again,it was in the exact center of the hood area.)
I even wrapped mine in a light towel to prevent a accidental scrape on the hood as I lifted it out.

don't feel bad it took me a bit to figure that one out too, sadly that was before I found the forum which has great info.
