When I picked up the vette in VA in April, the wiper door got stuck in the up position. I posted a thread and did some fiddling to the advice of the forum and it went down on its own. I don't rememebr if it was use of the switch under the wheel or not. I tried to search but since it was over 6 mos ago, the thread isnt showing up anymore.
That being said, what do you guys think I should try to get the door down? I tried to mess with the actuator a little, but it is being held in position by either a vaccum charge, or an electrical command. I am going to try to mess with it some tomorrow, but hope someone can clue me in before busted knuckles take place.
The wiper door and headlights are signaled by the small vacuum hose that goes the the actuator valve. They always defalt to the up position. So that indicates that the vacuum on the small line is off. Check back along that line through the switch controls to the vacuum source to find where the vacuum break is.
