We are still trying to sell the 76!! This is a cheap and easy project car. It is all there and has spare parts. Alloys, leather, auto, ps, pb, pw, ac, t-tops. If you like vettes you should see that $4000 is a great deal for a running car. Come get this thing!! We have too many projects and this car must go.
You are in GA, come get it. Bring a trailer, she dosen't have working headlights. Take it home and drop your own Merlin in!!! We are ready to move now.
Shoot me some pics as well. Can you also mail more details on the condition of the frame, mechanicals, body, etc? I've been thinking of adding a car to the stable for the wife to take to cruise-ins and such. A nicely appointed '76 would be just up her alley.
Since everyone seems to ask those questions first, here's the scoop:
The frame is fine other than the ususal surface rust for a 25 year old car. The engine is running fine other than 1) a quadradog carb which should be replaced (there is no such thing as a good quadracrap, just one that has not been thrown away yet) and 2) it's a 307 instead of the matching motor. A 350 shouldn't be hard to come across since GM makes them every day (Merlin makes motors too, remember). The tranny is original as far as I can tell, it is a 350 auto. The brakes are fine, they stop just great. The body has a small tear in the driver's side front bumper about 2 inches long that can be epoxied and painted over. The rear bumper is fine. The body has some seriously bad paint. It needs to be repainted. Yes, the replacement windsheild frame is for the car since the frame on the car is rusted out. I replaced the floors, not the carpet, as they had rusted out. I used 16 guage instead of the stock 20 guage for extra strength. It needs seat tracks.
Take 21 towards Columbia to Blythewood, then turn left onto Langford Road. Go past the Fairfield Electric Co-Op and take the THIRD Right. That is Mickle Road. We are the third house on the right. The car is by the road. Call us if you need more info at 803-714-5517. When can we expect to see you?
