Default Identify small wire harness

On my 1971 coupe, I have three wires that split off of the loom under the master cylinder. 1st wire 12 ga red/white tracer, 2nd wire 16 ga dk blue, 3rd wire 14ga orange, they have been cut off and are just hanging there. Anyone know what they are for? Thanks Ron B.

Sounds like these are the wires that go to the horn relay... maybe someone more knowlegeable will chime in soon.

Have a couple of questions. does your rt turn indactor work and do your hazard flashers work? these were the only 2 wires i could find in my chilton manual wiring diagram. the red with a white tracer was not listed. however it had a red, black andwhite listed as the ballist wire to the coil. coil starts on 12v runs on 6v. hope this helps.

At this point I'm just trying to get the lights all working(work in progress), but I'didn't see a horn relay. Thanks for the pointers. Ron B.

I have a 72 color coded wiring diagram in front of me....

red w/ white tracer ....from a juntion box it goes one way to the 'wiper blade limited SW'...the other end goes out the junction box to the 'wiper override SW'

dark blue...seems to be a couple of them. out of the same junction box as above it goes one way to the 'wiper and washer motor 'or the 'TCS sol conn.'...the other way out of the junction box it goes to the 'TCS delay relay' or to the 'Windshield wiper switch'

orange...one wire out of the junction box goes to the 'blower motor'..the other to the 'heater switch conn'

their is an orange wire that is 'f'usible' coming out of the horn relay, but the other colors in that area are red, green, and black

Horn relay is mounted in the engine bay drivers side next to the vacuum resivour tank. It is a live junction that numerous wires are attached to. Yes...it powers more than just the horn.
