uhmm.. if ur brake feels like it has an air leak.. isn't that usually the mastercylinder and or brake lines? I thought it was ur brake booster if your pedal is too stiff... not the other way around.
OH, come on guys, I can have my stock brake booster out and in hand in 30 minits....easy....take out the seat....4 bolts...
drop the wheel....two 9/16 just behind dash, two 1/2 on the firewall...flop...1/2 dzn phillips screws and a few plugs and the speedo tach is yours....
then it's a clear shot to all 4 of the booster bolts....the clevis pin is the only reason to be upside down one bit...a 1 minits job....
guess I done it some few times over the last ten years....

Honestly, I don't understand why everyone claims this to be one of the hardest projects on a C3. I really had very little trouble changing mine. I removed the seat (as already suggested) and left room in the garage to leave the drivers door all the way open. I had the tops off before I started, and yes, there were times my feet were that high in the air. I wasn't joking about the swivels and extensions, it made my life much easier.
I think the hardest part for me was putting the clip back on the pin that goes through the clevis a pedal arm. For some reason that little bastard gave me fits. Plus, after laying upside down in the impaled crane position, I had a wicked pressure headache.
