Rear End
Like some of the other members here, I'm taking the time to upgrade, and replace the rear suspension. The trailing arms are coming off, the differential is as well. Axels.... struts, and leaf spring.
The trailing arms I am going to clean, and repaint (they are green gopher for use)
The struts I upgraded to a VBandP Adjustable strut system
New ACDELCO SHOCKS
And a 330# Monospring from VBandP
All polyeurethane bushings
My question is does anyone have any torque settings for the rear end (trailing arms, shocks, mono/leafspring, differential, struts, etc....)?
I don't want to put it all together, and not have even pressure on the bolts... and the whole rear falls apart. While we're at it does anyone have any torque settigns for the top, and bottom of the front shocks?
Thanks guys,
-Louis
I have been looking for GM service manual.
But they're a bit too pricey for me. I have all my money laid out to be spent, thats the problem. If you could give me torque setings for the following bolts I would owe you a big one.
Lower Leaf/Mono spring bolts
Lower, and upper rear shock bolts
Lower, and upper front shock bolts
Leaf/Mono spring MOUNTING bolts
Strut to trailing arm bolts (Adjustable struts)
Strut to Camber bracket bolts (Adjustable struts)
Strut camber bracket MOUNTING bolts (Adjustable struts)
Trailing arm MOUNTING bolts. (Where the arm meets goes into the fram, the bolt by it's main bushing)
Axel Assembly bolts (YOKE, AND TO THE ARM ASSEMBLY)
Differential MOUNTING bolts
and the Differential HOUSING bolts
One again thanks Garry so much,
-Louis
