I'd like to use the speed sensor as an input to an aftermarket cruise control. Does anyone know how to wire this and where I can get a pigtail to fit the sensor? I've looked for pigtails for this at autoparts stores without luck.
BBShark,
I think this pdf file gives us a clue. It's an Autometer installation manual for one of their electronic speedometers, on the botton it's showing some connections to a VSS.

I installed an aftermarket Audiovox cruise control. With a manual transmission (Tremec TKO600) you don't need to use a speed sensor, only need the output off the tach. The Audiovox cruise works quite well.
