Default 78 L82 rear deck question

My 78 L-82 has 4 "bushing-like" holes in the rear-exterior deck, just in front of the spoiler. I originally thought these were to attach a luggage rack- but it doen't appear that luggage racks were an option this year?? Any ideas on their purpose???

I believe those four bushing-like holes are for an aftermarket t-top holder. The t-top holders would fit into the holes, allowing you to carry your t-tops on the back, verses inside the car.

There was a factory optional T-top carrier available from 80 to 82 I think. It was very popular to buy the carriers from the dealer, and adapt them to 78's and 79's. Gosh, that was a long time ago.
