Waving fuel gauge needle.

Is there a solution to bring this up to date, perhaps a dampened sender?

Not sure what the question is but if I had a waving fuel gauge I would suspect a faulty sending unit? That would be where I would start looking.
Anybody out there that has fixed this kind of problem before please chime in.

My needle appears to move with the sloshing of fuel, I believe this is just an example of the technology of the times, the newer cars fuel gauges aren’t affected.

Had a similar situation on a Chevelle I had, taking off and stopping made the gauge go crazy. Almost like the float didn't have any resistance to keep it from "bouncing" on the tank. Changed the sending unit assembly including float and sock while I had the tank out. No problems after that.
