I have a set of headers that came on my car when I purchased it that I am wanting to re-use. I don't know what brand they are but they have a square collector mounting flange that is not typical. I want to bolt some 3 bolt header mufflers to them but obviously they will not bolt up to the bolt pattern difference. Can anybody tell me if there is some type of adapter available from 4 bolt to 3 bolt patterns and have you seen a square 4 bolt flange before?

Most header companies offer adapters for their headers with a slip fit flange. (The flange rotates independent of the collector/adapter.) Any good machine shop can fabricate a 4 bolt flange (to replace the normal 3 bolt flange), that will match your headers. This will slip over a standard collector/adapter that mates to your exhaust system.
If the headers are still in good shape and you are satisfied with them it shouldn't cost much at all to adapt them to whatever system you decide to install behind them.
