I replaced all four calipers & pad sets (a ZIP package which I thought used organic pads), and had the rotors turned, about 1000 miles ago. I didn't notice a lot of squeaking at first, but now, the squeaking (all four corners) is pretty bad :bb , especially when I first start driving.
Is this something that will go away by itself? I'm expecting NO for an answer
I wish I knew..I have had the same problems and even organic pads did not help.................Maybe a shim or I saw some anti-squeal stuff at autozone....Maybe try that............. :chevy
I tried the anti-squeal goo & they still squeal like stuck pigs. Mid-America (and probably other vendors) sell these "anti-squeak insulator pads, and I think I'm going to try those.
I have convinced my brake shop that did a recent repair to GIVE me 4 new calipers (that I did not pay for) and replace one rotor (that I did pay for) because of the squeel. Not bad :yesnod:
Had the same problem. Put on the blue goo, tried the self-adhesive backers, beveled the pad edges, installed the Mid America plastic tube shims, machined the rotors - nothing worked.
