Default LT1 solid valve lifters

How much more routine maintenance/adjustment is required with the LT1 solid valve lifters in the 70-72 models vs. the base stock engine with hydro/non solid lifters?

Do the LT1 solid lifters require regular adjustment?

Not much at all. I check my solids once a year and the yrarely need adjusting. I have had my current cam in their for 6K miles and it rarely needs adjusting.

The regular factory service interval applies BUT keep in mind that unless something is wearing out faster than normal, they should still all be in adjustment after the initial break-in period. You might want to keep an eye on the adjustment more often on a fresh build but after the first few 1000 miles or so it should be pretty stable. Once a year is fine if you are like me and don't take it out every day.
